Join the Open Science Ambassadors Program
The Open Science Ambassadors program is a community of researchers who are passionate about promoting transparency, reproducibility and collaboration in science. Our Ambassadors come from diverse backgrounds, various research disciplines and a variety of Max Planck Institutes. The common goal is to foster a discussion within the Max Planck Society about Open Science, sharing successes, addressing challenges, and exploring ways to enhance institutional implementation and adoption.
What is the Open Science Ambassadors Program?
The OSA Program is a collaborative project between the Open Science Working Group of the PhDNet and the Max Planck Digital Library (MPDL).
Who can become an Ambassador?
Anyone can become an Open Science Ambassador, regardless of their career stage or position. You can either be selected by your institute or claim the title independently. Our program is open to everyone who wants to promote Open Science and make a difference.

As an Open Science Ambassador, you will have the opportunity to:
- Attend our annual in-person meeting, featuring lectures and hands-on workshops on Open Science topics
- Connect with like-minded researchers and support staff from various institutions
- Amplify your voice at your institute and start a conversation on Open Science
- Navigate your institute to the Open Science support of the MPDL to provide further information, tools, and training
